It’s Time to Get Over “IT”

Every person on this planet is given one life to live and it's your responsibility to make the most out of the time that you have. 

Life goes by quickly and the last thing that you want to do is spend time on situations that will be meaningless in a few hours. It’s time to tighten your bootstraps and start to get over “It”, whatever it is that could be holding you back. Here are some tips to help you stop worrying about insignificant details so you can finally get back to enjoying your life.
Tip 1: Starting a Situation Journal
Every time that you encounter a difficult situation, whether an argument with your family or the inability to pay your bills at the end of the month, make sure that you write it down in your situation journal. You will then want to rate the situation on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being unimportant and 5 being dire. At the end of every week review all of the situations that you experienced and rate them again. You’ll be surprised at how many 5’s end up being 1’s or 2’s once you look back.
Tip 2: Create a Plan
There will always be people in your life that are specifically meant to give you a hard time and make it more difficult to achieve your wildest hopes and dreams. Take a few weeks to create a solid plan that outlines all of the goals that you want to accomplish and the steps you’ll take to get you there. When you make a plan you won’t be deterred by the opinions of others as you’ll have concrete evidence that everything will work out in your favor.
Tip 3: Get Motivated
Motivation can be a huge deterrent when you want to get something done but keep putting it off. It’s time to put procrastination aside and figure out what it is that is keeping you from achieving your goals. Find interesting and unique ways to improve your motivation, for example, treating yourself to a reward at the end of the week if you make progress towards your final goal. The more motivation that you have will result in much more getting done.
Tip 4: Letting Go
As the hardest part of learning how to ignore the things that are holding you back, you need to learn how to let things go. Much like your situation journal will show, things that you might think are serious right now won’t seem as serious in the future. Learn to forgive and forget as it can make a huge impact on your every day life
